2017 The Aris Napa Vellay Cabernet Sauvignon

• 103 cases produced
• 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
• 20 months in 75% new French Oak

Tasting Notes
The Arris is sourced from a prime section of the Sodhani Vineyard in St. Helena. This single vineyard wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from clones 337 and 7 and our tiny production of 4 barrels was raised entirely in 100% new Taransaud and Darnajou oak barrels (two of each). Bright crimson in color this wine jumps from the glass with immense blackberry, blueberry, lavashak, leather, earth, and pie crust. The palate is chewy and dense with sweet vanilla notes, gardenias, wood spices and coconut. What a great fi rst wine for us from this western hillside site in St. Helena. Beautiful and fresh now, but cellaring will defi nitely reward those who are patient.ineyards, some of which are closing in on 40 years. The nose is lively with sweet spice, boysenberry, walnut, and sage that compliment a body full of succulent black cherry, dark fruits, glossy fine tannins and lingering notes of dried herbs, cocoa and iron. Pure and polished with an impressive finish, we recommend laying this down for years to come.

Reynolds Family Winery

• The winery is located on the Silverado Trail in Napa Valley just south of the Stags Leap District
• The tasting room at the winery overlooks a spring fed pond and the estate vineyards
• Produce 4,500 cases annually across 14 different wines, many of which are only a few barrels. The varietals the work with are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Verdot, and Syrah
• Reynolds Family Winery, family owned and operated since 1999, is a boutique Bordeaux style producer in the heart of Napa Valley just south of the Stags Leap District. Suzie and Steve Reynolds moved to Napa Valley and purchased a rundown chicken farm which would eventually evolve into a beautiful estate driven winery that produces world class wines from several of Napa Valley’s Appellations. The property is 14.5 acres with 9 planted acres of Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery specializes in producing opulent, hand-crafted Cabernet Sauvignon. However, the Reynolds family truly does it all, while also offering several white wines and signature blends. Reynolds Family’s winemaking inspiration is driven by winemaker Steve Reynolds and his son, Cameron.

• The 2021 Persistence Blend is Reynolds’ signature wine—a bold, expressive Bordeaux-style blend crafted entirely from our estate-grown Persistence Vineyard on Monticello Road, right on the border of Coombsville. Winemaker Steve Reynolds has been making this wine since their inception in 1999, and it remains a true reflection of their winemaking style and Steve’s relentless pursuit of excellence. Named “Persistence” to honor the many obstacles and hardships we’ve overcome along the way, this wine embodies our journey—rich, resilient, and rooted in determination.

Tasting Notes
Ascending to new heights, it is nature’s generous gift from an astoundingly good vintage. Deep indigo hues coat the glass, as heady aromatics fill the senses. Ripe red, black and blue fruits and berries fuse with savory smoked meats and spices, Kalamata olives, baking spice, and hints of dark and milk chocolate. Dark, dense, and full-bodied, its mouthfeel is potent yet hardly overbearing. The finish is long and lively, with flavors and sensations that leave a lasting impression. This decadent offering is a meal unto itself. However, should you opt to find a fare companion, its bright acidity lends itself naturally to a perfect pairing for a multitude of foods.

Tasting Notes
Fresh with aromas of blackberry and the rocky manzanita of Napa chaparral, this 2022 Merlot define the history of Hossfeld. Graphite, coffee grounds and the site’s warm volcanic rock come together to deliver an intensely linear wine, fully alive and full bodied, elevated while rich. A beauty with grit and finesse.
